Do I really need to be a member of a church?

I have so many things that i wish i could just sit down and have a personal conversation with yall and Abe and just get yalls take on things. Yall are such a breath of fresh air and encouragement

So we have been struggling (since dismemebering ourselves from congregation we left due to doctrinal issues) with this ”membership covenant” for a local assembly, but its been bc we havent really had a lot of confidence in the leadership at the 3 churches we have been ”testing out” over the last 6 years. If we could just find a congregation that had a good number of ”members” who were truly spiritually invested and passionate about what His word says and displayed an evidence of it daily

My family is really struggling with this conviction..(whether its actually necessary to ”join” a ”church”).
