Is bitterness a sin?

Thank you for your very open share about letting go of bitterness. I think if we’ve lived long enough, we all will face betrayal of some sort. I’m in recovery and to maintain my sobriety I knew I had to forgive those that have really hurt me. I was told to pray for those people for 3 weeks minimum. Imagine that...to pray for their well being, not their death, lol. Grateful to say, it works! God is so good.
